The paddy procurement drive under the Kharif Marketing Season 2025–26 has brought visible joy to farmers across Rajnandgaon district. The government is procuring paddy at a support price of ₹3,100 per quintal under the Support Price Scheme and the Krishak Unnati Yojana, with purchase limits up to 21 quintals per acre.
Under the guidance of Collector Jitendra Yadav, elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure seamless procurement operations. Facilities such as electronic weighing machines, drinking water, shade, biometric devices, labour support, and moisture measurement machines have been provided at all centres. The quality of paddy is being checked through advanced moisture analysers to maintain transparency.
A total of 96 procurement centres across the district have displayed price lists and guidelines through boards and flex banners. The Collector has also directed strict monitoring to prevent illegal paddy purchases by middlemen and to take stern action against “kochias” and unauthorized traders.
