Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s newly announced GST policy, GST 2.0, has been described as a historic and people-centric decision by BJP leader Vivek Monu Bhandari. He said the move would bring major relief to citizens struggling with inflation and simplify business for small traders.

Bhandari expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, former Chief Minister and Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Finance Minister O. P. Chaudhary, In-charge Minister Vijay Sharma, MP Santosh Pandey, former Madhusudan Yadav, and Abhishek Singh, saying that with their guidance this policy would be implemented smoothly for the benefit of the people.

Under the new GST framework, essential items like milk, bread, pulses, paneer, and insurance will be completely tax-free. Meanwhile, daily-use products such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, tea, coffee, oil, and ghee will attract only 5% tax. Goods like TVs, bikes, cars, and cement will remain under the 18% slab, while liquor, cigarettes, and luxury items will continue to be taxed at 40%.

Bhandari said, “Reducing the burden on people’s pockets is the BJP government’s priority. Now, every household budget will ease up, making everything from groceries to insurance more affordable.”

Highlighting the festive season, he added, “From Ganesh Chaturthi to Diwali and Chhath Puja, this policy will light up homes with joy. Affordable shopping will bring new vibrancy and energy to the markets.”

Focusing on the interests of small traders, Bhandari emphasized that GST registration will now be simpler, online return filing will be more convenient, and tax refunds will be processed faster. He remarked, “Small traders will now be free from tax-related hassles. Business will be easier, and new employment opportunities will open up.”
Bhandari’s opinion is very clear that “GST 2.0 is not just a tax reform; it is Modi Ji’s true master stroke that strengthens both Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business.”
