Focus on Voter List Update; Draft Roll to be Published on December 9, Final List on February 7, 2026

A meeting with representatives of recognized political parties was held today in the Collectorate conference hall under the chairmanship of Collector and District Election Officer Jitendra Yadav. The meeting was convened to discuss the schedule and procedures related to the Special Intensive Summary Revision (SISR) with 1 January 2026 as the qualifying date.
During the session, officials briefed party representatives on the timeline issued by the Election Commission of India. Preparation, training, and printing activities will be conducted from 28 October to 3 November 2025. The house-to-house voter enumeration will take place from 4 November to 4 December 2025. Rationalization and reorganization of polling stations is scheduled for 4 December, followed by the preparation of control tables and draft voter lists between 5 to 8 December 2025.
The draft electoral roll will be published on 9 December 2025, and claims and objections may be submitted from 9 December 2025 to 8 January 2026. Verification, hearings, and disposal of claims and objections by the ERO will take place up to 31 January 2026. The final publication of the electoral roll is slated for 7 February 2026.

Voter and Booth Statistics:
As of 29 October 2025, the district has 840 polling stations and a total voter count of 7,13,427, across four Assembly constituencies — Dongargarh (SC), Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, and Khujji. The data includes both male and female voters along with a small number of third-gender voters.
Role of BLOs and BLAs:
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door visits to distribute and collect enumeration forms. If a voter is unavailable, multiple attempts will be made, followed by a notice being posted at the residence. Recognized political parties may appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs), who will assist BLOs in the enumeration process.
Voters whose names already appear in the 2003 revision list will not be required to submit supporting documents. Citizens whose names do not appear in the draft roll may file claims and objections at designated centers, including polling booths, Panchayat offices, Tehsil offices, and urban local body offices.
A district-level call center has been set up, and voters can dial 1950 during office hours for information. Additionally, all relevant voter services — including name search, registration, correction, deletion, e-EPIC download, and polling station details — are available through the Voter Service Portal and the Voter Helpline App.
The meeting was attended by Additional Collector C.L. Markandey, Deputy District Election Officer Ankit Chauhan, and representatives of recognized political parties including Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, and Indian National Congress.
