A major alleged fraud in the name of education has surfaced in Rajnandgaon, where Sri Chaitanya Techno School is reportedly operating without valid recognition from any official education board.

Despite projecting itself as a reputed institution following the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) pattern, the school allegedly lacks affiliation not only from CBSE but also from the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE). However, it continued to collect hefty fees from parents under various heads, including tuition and development charges.

The most alarming consequence of this alleged irregularity is that Class V students enrolled in the school are now unable to appear for board examinations, putting their entire academic year at risk. Parents, who had invested heavily in their children’s education, now claim they were misled by the institution’s claims and branding.

Raising serious concerns, Chhattisgarh Parents Association President Christopher Paul revealed that a formal complaint highlighting the school’s lack of recognition and misleading practices was submitted to the district administration and education department nearly a year ago. The complaint also mentioned that parents were being forced to purchase expensive books sourced from private publishers outside the state.

Despite these warnings, no substantial action was taken by the authorities, leading to allegations of negligence and possible collusion. “This is not merely a case of administrative failure but a structured wrongdoing affecting children’s future. If the department was informed earlier, why was the school not sealed?” Paul questioned.

The school reportedly lured parents with promises of “high-tech education” and CBSE-style curriculum. However, the absence of official affiliation meant that it lacked eligibility to conduct or facilitate recognized examinations. The issue came to light only when the school’s name was missing from the official examination list.

Parents are now facing uncertainty, as their children risk losing an academic year while having already borne significant financial burden. The controversy has triggered widespread outrage, with demands for strict action against both the school management and concerned officials.

The role of the district education department is now under scrutiny, as questions mount over how such an institution could operate openly without authorization for an extended period.

As the situation unfolds, all eyes are on the administration to determine whether it will initiate decisive action or limit itself to preliminary inquiries in a case that directly impacts the future of young students.
