Hockey Community Celebrates as Long-Pending Proposal Finally Clears

Friday brought a remarkable moment for the sporting community as the long-pending proposal for AstroTurf replacement at the Rajnandgaon International Hockey Stadium finally received administrative approval. This development marks a major milestone for the city and is being widely celebrated across the hockey fraternity.
The achievement is the result of continuous efforts by several key public representatives, including:

Their coordinated efforts have paved the way for the long-awaited upgrade. Work on replacing the AstroTurf is expected to begin soon, allowing the stadium to provide world-class facilities for players and upcoming tournaments.

They unanimously stated that this approval will not only give new momentum to Rajnandgaon hockey but will also provide a strong platform for young players to polish their talent.
Rajnandgaon’s achievement is expected to boost the city’s growth and strengthen its sports culture. Chhattisgarh Hockey President Firoz Ansari expressed hope that after the turf replacement, the city will host many more major hockey events, offering players the opportunity for world-class training and performance.
