This revered trail traces the exile journey of Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana as described in the Ramayana, passing through key sites across the state including Satna, Panna, Katni, Amarkantak, Shahdol, and Umaria.

The project, covering 23 major religious destinations in its Madhya Pradesh segment, aims to develop these locations into world-class pilgrimage centers, drawing inspiration from the transformative development of Ayodhya.On February 8, 2026, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav personally led a momentous event at Sitamadhi Dham in Gandhiya village, Jaisinghnagar tehsil of Shahdol district.
