Teachers Felicitated for Distinguished Service on Teachers’ Day; Minister Highlights Discipline, Values and Respect for Gurus

The Chief Minister Education Gaurav Alankaran Samman Ceremony was organised on a grand scale at the A.G. Auditorium in Narayanpur on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

Chhattisgarh Minister for Forest and Climate Change, Transport, Cooperation and Parliamentary Affairs Kedar Kashyap attended the programme as the chief guest. State Youth Commission Chairman Vishw Vijay Singh Tomar was also present.

Discipline and Values Essential for Success: Kedar Kashyap

Addressing the gathering, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap said that success in the field of education comes through discipline, values, patience and determination.

Describing the family as the first school, he said respecting parents and teachers is a fundamental pillar of Indian culture.

Interacting with students, Kashyap advised them to use mobile phones primarily for studies and knowledge-enhancing activities and to avoid their misuse.

The minister also encouraged the children during the programme and joined them for selfies.

Book on Bastar’s Folk Life Released

A book titled ‘Bastar Ke Lok Jeevan Mein Vanaspatiyan’, written by author Shiv Kumar Pandey and based on the culture of Abujhmarh, was released during the ceremony.

The programme also featured the felicitation of 15 retired teachers in recognition of their distinguished services. Teachers including Sumer Singh Mandavi, Usha Kiran Bais and Dhansingh Baghel, among others, were honoured with shawls and coconuts.

At the development block level, six teachers received the Shiksha Doot Award, while three teachers were honoured with the Gyan Deep Award at the district level.

Teachers’ Contribution Recognised

The ceremony highlighted the contribution of teachers who have served in the field of education and played an important role in guiding students.

The recognition of retired teachers, Education Doot awardees and Gyan Deep awardees marked the occasion as a celebration of dedication and service in education.

The event brought together public representatives, administrative officials and teachers to mark Teachers’ Day and honour contributions to the education sector.

Municipal Council President Indraprastha Baghel, Janpad President Pinki Usendi, Collector Namrata Jain, Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Patel and DFO Dr. Venkatesha MG were among those present.

A large number of public representatives, administrative officers and teachers also attended the ceremony.
