The registration of Jay Tulsi Multi-Speciality Hospital, Rajnandgaon, under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Swasthya Yojana has been suspended for six months following serious lapses and multiple irregularities detected during inspections.
Acting on directives issued by the state government, district authorities initiated inspections of all private hospitals empanelled under the scheme. A special investigation team from the Health Department conducted a surprise inspection of Jay Tulsi Multi-Speciality Hospital, during which several discrepancies were recorded. Based on these findings, the hospital was served a show-cause notice.
Subsequently, the hospital management was instructed to rectify all identified deficiencies and ensure that such issues would not recur. However, during a follow-up surprise inspection, the Health Department team found not only unresolved issues but also additional irregularities beyond the earlier observations.

A detailed investigation report was then submitted by the district-level inquiry committee recommending suspension of the hospital’s registration under the Ayushman Bharat and state health schemes. Acting on this report, the Director of Health Services and Chief Executive Officer of the State Nodal Agency, Raipur, approved the suspension.
Following the approval, a formal order was issued to Jay Tulsi Multi-Speciality Hospital, Stadium Road, Basantpur, cancelling all four cases registered under the Neo-Natal Care (NICU) package and suspending the hospital’s empanelment for the next six months. The hospital management has also been instructed to remove all scheme-related publicity materials during the suspension period and refrain from registering any new claim cases under the health schemes.
This strict action underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability and quality treatment under public health insurance programmes.
