Major irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission works have come to light in Kopeedih village of Dongargaon block, following complaints by Janpad member Sarita Sahu and District Kisan Congress President Madan Sahu. Acting on their grievance, the District Collector directed a departmental team to inspect the site.
The inspection revealed serious lapses: several pipelines were left incomplete or leaking, while a water tank constructed a year ago has not yet been made operational. The tank’s cleaning and drainage systems were also found unfinished.
