The “Sushasan Tihar 2026” initiative launched by the Chhattisgarh government has evolved beyond a grievance redressal campaign and is emerging as an effective platform for women’s awareness, health security, nutrition support, and economic empowerment. Large numbers of women from both rural and urban areas are participating in the camps organized across the district, gaining information about government welfare schemes and experiencing positive changes in their lives through direct benefits.
Women Becoming More Aware Through Welfare Camps
Under Sushasan Tihar, special camps are being organized to spread awareness among women regarding health, nutrition, maternity safety, economic self-reliance, child development, and savings schemes. The impact of these initiatives is visibly boosting women’s confidence, encouraging them to take greater responsibility toward their families and the future of their children.

Nutrition Awareness and Suposhan Kits Distributed
As part of the campaign, a grievance redressal camp held in village Asra of Dongargaon development block featured a stall set up by the Women and Child Development Department. Pregnant and lactating mothers were sensitized about nutritious food and maternal-child healthcare.
During a traditional Godh Bharai ceremony, Mrs. Maheshwari Sahu of village Asra received a Suposhan Kit. Expressing happiness, she said the kit would be highly beneficial for the health of both mother and child and thanked the government for implementing such supportive initiatives for rural women.
‘Potth Laika Abhiyan’ Promoting Balanced Nutrition
Under the ongoing “Potth Laika Abhiyan,” Palak Chaupal meetings are being organized across the district to educate pregnant and lactating women about balanced diets and nutritious food habits. Women were encouraged to utilize locally available nutritious food items.

Through the Suposhan Kalash initiative, awareness was created about the nutritional benefits of moringa leaves, red spinach, spinach, fenugreek, pulses, and other protein- and mineral-rich foods. Mrs. Pushpalata Sahu from village Asra also expressed gratitude after receiving a nutrition kit, acknowledging the positive role of government schemes in improving women’s health awareness.
Financial Independence Through Mahatari Vandan Scheme
In another camp organized in village Sundara under Rajnandgaon development block, Mrs. Babita Sahu from village Torankatta shared her experience with the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. She informed that she learned about the scheme through the Anganwadi centre and began receiving financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month after applying.
She stated that she deposits part of the amount into the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana for her daughter’s future while using some funds to support her tailoring business. According to her, the scheme has become an important financial support system for women, reducing dependence on others for small expenses and encouraging self-reliance.
She expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, stating that the scheme strengthens women’s dignity and confidence.
Health Services Reaching the Last Mile
Sushasan Tihar is also ensuring that healthcare services reach people at the grassroots level. At a grievance redressal camp organized at Shankarpur School in Rajnandgaon city for wards 7, 9, and 10, Mrs. Pushpkala Meshram expressed satisfaction after receiving free medical examination and treatment.
She shared that despite suffering from diabetes and blood pressure issues, she had been unable to consult a doctor for a long time. However, through the Mobile Medical Unit present at the camp, her health check-up was conducted and necessary medicines and medical advice were provided.
Mrs. Meshram appreciated the government’s concern for poor and needy citizens, stating that such camps are proving to be a major relief for common people. She added that awareness regarding Ayushman cards, social security pensions, and other welfare schemes is increasing, enabling eligible families to receive direct benefits.

Women Empowerment Taking Shape at Ground Level
Through Sushasan Tihar 2026, women in the district are gaining new opportunities in health awareness, nutrition security, financial independence, and social empowerment. Government schemes are no longer confined to paperwork but are visibly transforming lives on the ground.
Women from both rural and urban regions are moving forward with renewed confidence by availing the benefits of these initiatives, demonstrating how the concept of women’s empowerment is becoming a reality at the grassroots level.
