The urban local body election for the newly formed Ghumka Nagar Panchayat concluded in a peaceful, fair and well-organized manner. Comprehensive security arrangements were put in place at all polling stations, enabling voters to exercise their democratic rights without fear or disruption.

Extensive Security Arrangements Across Polling Centres

The security plan for the election was implemented under the direction of Rajnandgaon Superintendent of Police Ms. Ankita Sharma, with guidance from Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Kirtan Rathore and supervision by SDOP Dongargaon Ms. Manjulata Baj.

Police personnel were deployed across all polling stations, while sensitive and highly sensitive areas remained under constant surveillance throughout the election process.

Continuous Monitoring and Patrolling

To ensure law and order, police teams carried out regular patrolling and checking drives across the Nagar Panchayat area. Security personnel remained vigilant at key locations and monitored the situation closely to prevent any untoward incidents.

The coordinated efforts of the police force helped maintain a peaceful atmosphere during polling hours.
