With sustained efforts and a clear development roadmap laid down by Assembly Speaker, local MLA, and former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, Rajnandgaon is set to emerge as a city with minimal electricity distribution problems. This was stated by Roopchand Bhimnani, the newly appointed MLA representative for the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) / Energy Department, while addressing the press.

Bhimnani said that his primary objective is to significantly reduce the response time for power-related complaints by the year 2026, ensuring faster and more efficient grievance redressal for citizens. He added that under the guidance and blessings of Dr. Raman Singh, several key initiatives are being actively pursued.

Among the major projects planned for the current year is the establishment of a new North Zone sub-division and a new power sub-station for the Patari Paar area. This move is expected to permanently resolve long-standing electricity issues faced by residents of Patari Paar. The additional infrastructure will also reduce the load on existing systems in the city’s east, west, south, and adjoining rural areas, thereby improving overall power supply reliability and providing substantial relief to the general public.

Referring to power supply challenges experienced during the previous summer, Bhimnani said that a comprehensive plan is underway to control and improve complaint response time. As part of this strategy, efforts are being made—under Dr. Raman Singh’s leadership—to increase field-level manpower with adequate resources and equipment in both urban and rural areas.

He further informed that discussions are ongoing regarding technical upgradation of the electricity distribution network to enhance efficiency and reliability. Necessary steps are being taken to obtain government approvals and ensure effective implementation of these modernization plans.

Roopchand Bhimnani, who has been actively engaged for over 20 years in addressing public issues related to electricity, reiterated his commitment to resolving power-related grievances of the people.

Expressing confidence, he emphasized that with the cooperation and hard work of CSPDCL officials, all proposed schemes will be successfully implemented. He asserted that by the end of 2026, Rajnandgaon will witness a markedly improved and robust power distribution system, delivering reliable service and prompt solutions to consumer complaints.
