District Panchayat CEO Reviews Weekly Meeting, Issues Directives for Independence Day Preparations

Suruchi Singh outlines plans for parade rehearsal, freedom run, and Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee celebrations; stresses e-file implementation across departments

District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh on Tuesday chaired the weekly time-limit meeting at the Collectorate conference hall, issuing key directives to ensure smooth preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations and Chhattisgarh’s 25th State Foundation Year, being observed as the Silver Jubilee.

Singh instructed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the Independence Day function, covering stage setup, seating arrangements, security measures, decorations, drinking water, and other essential requirements. She announced that the final rehearsal will be held on August 13 at 8:40 AM, followed by a Freedom Run on August 14 at 7:20 AM, urging all departments to be fully prepared for these events.

Emphasizing digital governance, the CEO directed all departments to adopt the e-file system for official work. While the initiative is already in progress at the district level, she noted that it may soon extend to the block level, and urged departments to actively work towards its implementation.

Reviewing the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, Singh called for rangoli-making activities at Anganwadi centers, tricolor-themed meals for children in Palak Chaupal, and the promotion of flags made by women’s self-help groups.

Highlighting the importance of the Silver Jubilee year, Singh directed departments to prepare for various cultural and public programs, including exhibitions and nutrition fairs showcasing government achievements. She also stressed the need to maximize public benefits from the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

Additional Collector C.L. Marakandey informed that camps for issuing income, caste, and residence certificates will be organized across all gram panchayats starting August 20, with public announcements from August 10. These camps will see active participation from sarpanches, secretaries, and other local officials. Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma added that several exhibitions and events will highlight the state’s progress over the past 25 years.

The meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, Rajnandgaon SDM Khem Lal Verma, Dongargaon SDM Shrikant Koram, Dongargarh SDM Abhishek Tiwari, along with other senior officials.

Minimata’s Lifelong Battle Against Social Evils Remembered – Speaker Dr. Raman Singh

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh paid tribute to Mamta-Mayee Minimata, recalling her lifelong struggle against social evils and her pioneering role as the first woman MP from Madhya Pradesh in 1952. Speaking at the Mamta-Mayee Minimata Nirvan Diwas, held at Guru Ghasidas Cultural Hall, Dr. Singh administered the oath to newly elected office-bearers of the District Satnami Seva Samiti and announced ₹10 lakh for development works. He lauded Minimata’s work for women’s freedom, education, and progress, her efforts to eradicate untouchability, and her promotion of Guru Ghasidas’s message of equality. The event also honored meritorious students and saw the participation of MLAs, former legislators, and a large gathering from the Satnami community.

The Central Government has removed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Parliament’s Consultative Committee on External Affairs, replacing him with Manish Tewari and Gurjeet Singh Aujla. अनिया नवागांव के खेतों में सिंचाई जल न मिलने से ग्रामीण परेशान

राजनांदगांव के नवागांव में सिंचाई जल की किल्लत से किसान परेशान हैं। नहर से पानी छोड़े जाने पर बीच के गांवों में अवरोध डालकर पानी रोक दिए जाने से खेत सूख रहे हैं। अधिकारी से मिलने ग्रामीण दिनभर कार्यालय में इंतजार करते रहे, पर कोई जिम्मेदार नहीं मिला। करीब 200 किसानों की 750 एकड़ धान की फसल बचाने के लिए तत्काल पानी छोड़े जाने की मांग की गई है।
