Focus on Vaccination, Deworming, Artificial Insemination and Field-Level Progress Monitoring

Collector Jitendra Yadav conducted a comprehensive review meeting today at the District Collectorate regarding various schemes being implemented under the Livestock Development Department. The review covered key activities such as animal treatment and medicine distribution, deworming, deticking, castration, sample testing, minor surgeries, and livestock health camps.
During the meeting, the Collector instructed the veterinary officers to intensify on-ground activities by organizing regular health camps to ensure effective outreach in rural areas. He directed that a series of camps be conducted in the month of November, ensuring visible progress at the field level.

The Collector also emphasized the timely completion of vaccination drives to prevent livestock-related diseases. In addition, the ongoing breed improvement program under artificial insemination was reviewed. Officials were instructed to ensure accurate and timely data entry on the designated portal to maintain proper records and monitoring.
The meeting was attended by CEO Zila Panchayat Ms. Suruchi Singh, Deputy Director of Livestock Development Dr. Anoop Chatterjee, veterinary surgeons, and other departmental officials.
