Special breast cancer screening camps ordered; faster screening of high-risk pregnancies stressed

Rajnandgaon Collector Shri Jitendra Yadav on Tuesday chaired the weekly time-limit review meeting at the Collectorate conference hall and issued clear and firm instructions to officials for the effective implementation of health, education, agriculture, and public welfare schemes across the district.
Emphasising that women’s health remains a top priority, the Collector directed the health department to launch a special district-wide campaign for breast cancer screening by organising dedicated medical camps. He stated that early detection is crucial and negligence at any level will not be tolerated.
Faster Screening for High-Risk Pregnant Women
The Collector instructed officials to significantly accelerate the screening of identified high-risk pregnant women in the district. He stressed that there should be no laxity in providing sonography services, essential medicines, and other required healthcare facilities to expectant mothers.
Relief for Farmers: Integrated Farmer Portal Open Till January 7
Keeping farmers’ convenience in mind, the Collector informed that the Integrated Farmer Portal will remain open till January 7. He directed officials to promptly resolve issues related to farmer registration and data corrections.
He further instructed nodal officers to ensure priority procurement of paddy from small farmers and to regularly inspect paddy procurement centres, including physical verification, panchnama procedures, and overall arrangements.

Strict Monitoring of Food Safety
The Collector directed the Food Safety Department to conduct regular inspections and testing of food items such as sweets, milk, paneer, and other consumables at food establishments across the district. Immediate action was ordered against vendors found selling substandard food products.
Focus on Class 10 and 12 Board Results
Special emphasis was laid on improving the academic performance of Class 10 and 12 students. The Collector instructed schools to ensure daily writing practice for students and reviewed attendance records, APAAR ID status, and academic progress. He made it clear that there should be no compromise in teaching standards in view of the upcoming board examinations.
Preparations for the National School Games, scheduled to be held in the district from January 11 to 15, were also reviewed, and necessary instructions were issued to the Education Department.
Free Assistive Devices for Senior Citizens
The Collector announced that ALIMCO, Jabalpur will organise assessment camps from January 12 to 15 to provide free assistive devices to senior citizens. Devices such as wheelchairs, walking sticks, spinal supports, and other aids will be distributed.
All Janpad CEOs were directed to ensure wide publicity through public announcements so that maximum eligible beneficiaries can avail of the facility.
Emphasis on Discipline and Accountability
To enhance transparency and administrative discipline, the Collector directed all officers and employees to mark attendance mandatorily through the Aadhaar-enabled biometric system.
He also reviewed pending cases on the PGN Portal, CM Jandarshan, and Collector Jandarshan, directing officials to ensure swift disposal of grievances.
Solar Energy and E-Office Review
District Panchayat CEO Ms Suruchi Singh urged officials to encourage more households to join the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme and to continue organising Surya Sabhas in rural areas.
The meeting also included a review of work being carried out through the e-Office system.

Additional Collectors Shri C.L. Markandey and Shri Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Atul Vishwakarma, and officers from various departments were present. All SDMs of the district joined the meeting via video conferencing.
