A total of 270 senior citizens in Rajnandgaon received free assistive devices under a joint initiative of the Department of Social Welfare and ALIMCO. Over 500 beneficiaries across the district have been supported within a month, with equipment worth nearly ₹50 lakh distributed.
Under the guidance of Collector Jitendra Yadav, the Social Welfare Department Rajnandgaon, in collaboration with ALIMCO, organised life-support device assessment and identification camps across all development blocks. The main camp held at Gandhi Sabha Grih assessed hundreds of senior citizens for assistive equipment aimed at improving mobility, comfort, and quality of life.
