Officials Directed to Resolve Applications on Priority Basis

District Collector Jitendra Yadav heard grievances and problems of citizens from various parts of the district during the weekly Jandarshan programme organized at the Collectorate conference hall.
During the public hearing, the Collector directed concerned departmental officials to ensure prompt and priority-based disposal of all applications received. He instructed officers to resolve citizens’ issues in accordance with rules and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive benefits under various government welfare schemes.
Focus on Quick Resolution of Public Issues
After reviewing the applications, the Collector directed officials to examine cases carefully and extend benefits of government schemes to all eligible applicants as per norms.

He emphasized that citizens come to Jandarshan with expectations and trust in the administration, and therefore their concerns should be addressed with urgency and sensitivity.
Applications received during the programme were related to:
- Electricity connections
- Land demarcation
- Mutation of land records
- Removal of illegal encroachments
- Benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
- Land acquisition matters
- Nazul land issues
- Pension-related grievances
- Correction of revenue records
- Access to various government welfare schemes
The Collector instructed officials to ensure timely and effective resolution of all applications.
Financial Assistance for Child’s Medical Treatment
In a compassionate intervention during the programme, Eagle Kumar Shrivas, a resident of village Mokhla in Rajnandgaon development block, submitted an application seeking assistance for the treatment of his daughter Chandraprabha Shrivas, who is reportedly suffering from a heart defect.

Taking the matter seriously, Collector Jitendra Yadav immediately directed the Chief Medical and Health Officer to initiate necessary medical assistance. He also approved financial aid of ₹10,000 from the Red Cross Society Rajnandgaon for the child’s treatment and instructed officials to ensure proper medical care.
Administration Reiterates Citizen-Centric Governance
The weekly Jandarshan programme continues to serve as an important platform for direct interaction between citizens and the district administration, enabling faster grievance redressal and improved implementation of welfare initiatives.
