District Collector Jitendra Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of multiple paddy procurement centres, including Tumdibod, Tilairwar, Maharajpur, and Kohka, to assess arrangements and ensure smooth operations as the procurement season progresses.

During the visit, the Collector examined the registers maintained at the centres, including daily procurement records, and reviewed the overall functioning of the procurement system. He inspected the weighing process, availability of potable water, shade, seating arrangements for farmers, stock of gunny bags, stacking facilities, and other essential arrangements at each centre.

Stressing that farmers must not face any inconvenience, Collector Yadav instructed procurement staff to purchase paddy strictly as per the prescribed limit of 21 quintals per acre. He warned that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He further emphasized proper storage and maintenance of procured paddy at all centres.
