A training-cum-review meeting for committee managers and data entry operators was held today at the District Panchayat meeting hall under the chairmanship of Collector Jitendra Yadav to ensure smooth implementation of paddy procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Kharif Marketing Season 2025-26.
Collector Yadav issued clear instructions to maintain continuous surveillance on agents and middlemen involved in illegal paddy trade and to take regular action against such activities. Stressing the need for tighter monitoring, he directed that micro-observers be deployed across the district’s 49 sensitive and highly sensitive paddy procurement centres.
He also instructed officials to carry out land-surrender processes for paddy sale only with the consent of farmers and encouraged committee managers to take proactive interest in increasing verified land entries. Managers who demonstrate exceptional performance will be honoured by the district administration, he announced.

To strengthen transparency, the Collector ordered surprise physical verification of paddy and gunny bag stocks at procurement centres each week. He also emphasised variety-wise stacking of paddy to avoid discrepancies.
Highlighting priorities, he directed that small and marginal farmers must receive first preference in token issuance.
During the session, committee managers and data entry operators received technical training on the Token Tunhar Hath mobile app, Satark app, Paddy Procurement Society Module, and PC app to enhance digital efficiency.
The meeting was attended by Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma, departmental officials, cooperative society managers, and data entry operators.
