Collector Jitendra Yadav convened a key meeting with all rice millers of the district at the collectorate conference hall to review mill registration, documentation issues, and the ongoing paddy lifting process. He assured that the district administration will take every possible sensitive and prompt step to resolve the difficulties faced by millers in registration and document updates.

The Collector emphasized that, as per state government guidelines, paddy lifting must be carried out in the prescribed ratio. Ensuring smooth lifting of paddy across the district is a shared responsibility of both the administration and millers. He reiterated that farmers should not face any inconvenience during paddy procurement, and the administration is equally committed to helping millers overcome technical and procedural issues.

To address millers’ difficulties in online applications and document uploads, the Collector directed officials to assign dedicated staff for immediate resolution. He reaffirmed that the administration is committed to resolving all issues under government directives.

Highlighting the strict measures taken to curb illegal paddy transportation, Yadav said that continuous action is being taken against agents and middlemen. Volunteers have been deployed at procurement centres for monitoring, and micro-observers are being appointed to track the inflow of paddy. He urged millers to cooperate with a positive approach.

Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma held a discussion with millers, while Food Officer Ravindra Soni advised them to ensure their staff is properly trained in gate pass procedures to avoid errors. He further said that all millers must strictly adhere to protocols while using the Satark App.
