Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Inspects Rajnandgaon District Court, Reviews Judicial Infrastructure

Focus on digitisation, paperless functioning, efficiency, accountability, and citizen-centric justice delivery

Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice Ramesh Sinha, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the District Court, Rajnandgaon, reviewing judicial infrastructure and interacting with judicial officers, members of the Bar Association, and court staff.

During the visit, the Chief Justice inspected various courtrooms and key sections of the court complex, including the Central Process Section, server room, Legal Aid and Defence System, record room, malkhana (property room), accounts section, library, digitisation and scanning centre, victim waiting room, and the Kilkari Room. He assessed the available infrastructure and reviewed the functioning of different judicial units.

Justice Sinha directed officials to ensure greater efficiency, accountability, proper maintenance of case records, and cleanliness across the court premises. He also emphasized the adoption of paperless court procedures and the wider use of modern information technology to strengthen a citizen-centric judicial system.

The Chief Justice reiterated his long-standing commitment to strengthening judicial infrastructure and integrating advanced technology into the justice delivery system. Since assuming office, he has consistently visited district and remote courts across Chhattisgarh to assess ground-level conditions and accelerate the modernisation of the state’s judicial infrastructure.

According to officials, these initiatives have significantly boosted the digitisation and modernization of courts in Chhattisgarh, making judicial services more efficient and accessible to citizens.

As part of his visit, Justice Sinha also planted a Maulshree sapling within the District Court premises.

The inspection was attended by the Registrar General of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Joint Registrar-cum-Principal Private Secretary, Protocol Officer, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Rajnandgaon, judicial officers of the district, office-bearers and members of the District Bar Association, the District Collector, officials from the Public Works Department, the Superintendent of Police, and court staff.
