In a strong push toward the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday launched a citywide campaign titled ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi’ in Rajnandgaon. The initiative is part of a nationwide effort inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to promote indigenous products and strengthen the local economy.

The programme commenced from Mahavir Chowk, where district BJP president Komal Singh Rajput, along with office-bearers from various morchas, mandals and party workers, led an outreach drive across the city’s main markets. During the campaign, shopkeepers were encouraged to highlight Vocal for Local products, and party workers pasted ‘Swadeshi Stickers’ on storefronts. Citizens were urged to take a pledge to use more Indian-made products in their daily lives.

Speaking on the occasion, District President Rajput said the campaign aims to connect people emotionally with the spirit of Swadeshi, turning it into a mass movement. “By increasing demand for indigenous goods, we aim to empower micro, small and medium industries, support local artisans and create more employment opportunities under Make in India,” he said.

The event saw the participation of District Vice President Tarun Laharwani, Municipal Corporation Chairman Paras Verma, Mandal President Golu Gupta, Sumit Bhatia, Corporator Raja Makheja, Sharad Sinha and several other party workers.

Upcoming Outreach Programmes
Under the broader Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the BJP will conduct extensive awareness programmes to promote Swadeshi. Conferences involving traders, farmers, women and entrepreneurs are being organised to ensure participation from local craftsmen and artisans. Awareness drives are also being carried out in rural and urban areas through rallies, posters and door-to-door interactions to encourage the use of locally crafted, homemade and Indian products.

Party representatives informed that awareness campaigns will soon be held in schools, panchayats and marketplaces to strengthen public engagement.
