Ahilyabai Holkar: A Symbol of Women Empowerment, Says BJP Leader Sanjay Srivastava Ahilyabai Holkar

Speaking on the occasion, Srivastava highlighted Ahilyabai’s contribution to good governance, women empowerment, and sanatan values, calling her a “living embodiment of service to the poor and downtrodden.” He said, “The concept of good governance promoted by Ahilyabai remains relevant even today. Inspired by her, PM Narendra Modi has implemented initiatives like Ujjwala Yojana, Matru Vandana Yojana, Women’s Reservation Bill, and Jan Dhan Yojana—each one empowering women across India.”

Srivastava further criticized the Congress party, accusing it of erasing the contributions of historical Indian icons for over 57 years. “It is only under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership that the real history of India is being restored and publicized in its true context,” he remarked.

The workshop began with a floral tribute to a portrait of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, followed by an address from BJP District President Komal Singh Rajput, who praised India’s progress under Modi’s leadership, noting that India had now overtaken Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy. He called for similar commemorative events to be held at the block and municipal levels.

During the program, a visual presentation of Ahilyabai Holkar’s life and legacy was displayed on the big screen, enriching the experience for attendees.

He thanked PM Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda for launching a national campaign to honor her memory.

The event was ably conducted by District Panchayat Member Dev Kumari Sahu, and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mahila Morcha Vice President Bheshbai Sahu.
