Acting Collector Reviews Facilities at PM SHRI Sarveshwardas Government Model School in Rajnandgaon

District Officials Directed to Upgrade All PM SHRI Schools with Quality Infrastructure Ahead of Board Exams

Acting Collector and Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Suruchi Singh conducted a detailed inspection of PM SHRI Sarveshwardas Government Municipal Corporation Excellence School in Rajnandgaon on Wednesday, reviewing infrastructure, academic preparedness, and ongoing development works under the PM SHRI Schools Scheme implemented through the Samagra Shiksha initiative.

During the visit, the Acting Collector assessed the progress of construction activities, availability of subject-wise teachers, and the status of curriculum implementation across different classes. She reviewed both academic and physical facilities available in the school and issued key instructions for necessary improvements to ensure that PM SHRI institutions in the district meet high-quality standards.

Officials examined classrooms, laboratories, library facilities, sanitation systems, drinking water arrangements, electricity supply, and other essential infrastructure components. Singh emphasized that continuous efforts must be made to develop PM SHRI schools into model institutions equipped with modern and comprehensive facilities.

With board examinations approaching, she also reviewed students’ preparation strategies and directed teachers to focus on improving academic outcomes. Detailed discussions were held regarding pre-exam preparations, extra classes, model tests, and academic guidance being provided to students. She instructed the teaching staff to adopt a well-planned approach to achieve excellent examination results.

The Acting Collector also discussed plans for summer camps and structured summer homework programs to ensure that students remain academically engaged during vacation periods. She stressed the importance of sustained learning opportunities beyond regular classroom sessions.

In addition, Singh reviewed district-level preparations for board examinations and directed officials to ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed in a timely manner. Nodal officers appointed for PM SHRI schools, including Joint Collectors and Deputy Collectors, were instructed to conduct regular inspections and monitor progress closely. She also sought information regarding deployment of examination center superintendents and overall examination management systems.

District Education Officer Pravas Singh Baghel and other officials were present during the inspection. Authorities noted that monitoring mechanisms are already in place across the district to improve education quality, upgrade facilities, and expedite completion of ongoing construction works in all PM SHRI schools.

The PM SHRI initiative aims to transform selected government schools into exemplar institutions aligned with the National Education Policy, focusing on modern infrastructure, experiential learning, and holistic student development.
