Acting on the directions of Collector Shri Jitendra Yadav, the district administration has intensified its campaign against illegal plotting and encroachment on government land across Rajnandgaon. Under the guidance of SDM Rajnandgaon Shri Gautam Patil, a joint team of the Revenue Department and Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation carried out the operation in various parts of the city. The administrative team reached the spot and removed large-scale illegal plotting and encroachments spread over nearly 30 acres in the Lakhouli area and behind the Press Club.

Using JCB machines and other equipment, the team cleared encroachments from multiple government land parcels. These included Khasra No. 517/1 measuring 0.693 hectares; Khasra No. 675/1 measuring 0.102 hectares in Santoshi Nagar, Lakhouli; and several plots in Raipur Naka, Lakhouli—Khasra No. 71/9 (0.179 hectares), Khasra No. 71/28 (0.202 hectares), Khasra No. 71/8 (0.179 hectares), and Khasra No. 71/27 (0.202 hectares).
During the action, individuals involved in illegal plotting and encroachment were strictly warned against undertaking any unauthorized construction or encroachment on government land in the future. The administration made it clear that such activities would not be tolerated.
