Farmers across Rajnandgaon district are expressing happiness as the paddy procurement campaign for Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26 progresses successfully. Under the ongoing mega procurement drive, the government is purchasing paddy at a support price of ₹3,100 per quintal, within the limit of 21 quintals per acre, under the Support Price System and the Krishak Unnati Yojana.

Under the supervision of Collector Jitendra Yadav, robust arrangements have been made to ensure smooth and transparent paddy procurement across the district. These arrangements include electronic weighing machines, drinking water facilities, shaded waiting areas, biometric devices, labour support, and moisture meters for inspecting grain quality.

All 96 paddy procurement centres have displayed rate lists and relevant information through boards and flex banners. The Collector has directed officials to maintain strict monitoring and take strong action against illegal procurement by middlemen or unauthorized agents.
