Sports Ministry’s Nationwide Initiative Encourages ‘Half an Hour of Daily Fitness’ Message in Rajnandgaon

To promote health consciousness and encourage regular physical activity among citizens, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organised a Fit India Sunday Cycling Rally for media representatives at Digvijay Stadium on Sunday morning. The event aimed to spread awareness about fitness through the active participation of journalists and media personnel.
Chief Volleyball Coach (In-Charge) K.C. Tripathi informed that under nationwide instructions from the Ministry, Fit India Cycling Rallies are conducted every Sunday across India to motivate people towards better health. In Rajnandgaon, media representatives enthusiastically joined the “Fit India Sunday On-Cycle Rally,” highlighting their commitment to fitness and public awareness.

The initiative was supported by Joint Director Dr. Usha Kiran Baraik, Press Club President Sachin Agrahari, and Treasurer Basant Sharma, who encouraged journalists to actively participate in the fitness drive.
Bureau Chief of Dainik Subah Ka Prahari and Press Club member Ankalu Sahu emphasised the importance of cycling, stating that daily cycling helps maintain good health. The stage proceedings were conducted by Pradeep Sharma.
Throughout the event, participants were reminded of the nationwide message: “Fitness ki dose, aadha ghanta roz” (A dose of fitness—30 minutes every day).

The programme also witnessed participation from Sai Training Centre athletes and staff members, including Sukdev Raut, Munna Lal Jaiswal, Archana Devi Choudhary, Virendra Sinha, Lekhram Dewangan, Jai Hind Nishad, Kumaru Ram Patel, and Radha Rajput, among others.
