In compliance with directives of the Election Commission of India (ECI), a Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll with the qualifying date of January 1, 2026 is currently in progress across Chhattisgarh. In Rajnandgaon district, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are carrying out door-to-door distribution of voter enumeration sheets based on the 2025 electoral roll.

Filling and submitting this enumeration sheet has been made mandatory for all voters. The District Election Office, Rajnandgaon, has also set up Voter Helpline 1950 and a dedicated helpdesk to assist citizens in locating their names in the 2003 voter list, which is being used as a reference dataset during the revision.

To facilitate urban voters, camps are being organized in municipal areas to help residents complete and submit their forms. Rajnandgaon district currently has an estimated 8.35 lakh voters. Of these, around 1.75 lakh enumeration forms have already been received and digitized.

Voters are required to submit the fully completed enumeration sheet to their respective BLOs on or before December 4, 2025. BLOs have been instructed to visit each household up to three times between November 4 and December 4 to collect filled forms and provide assistance whenever required.

The enumeration sheet can also be filled online through the ECI portal: voters.eci.gov.in. During the Special Intensive Revision, information of voters registered in 2025 will be matched with details from the 2003 voter list. If the names of the voter and their parents or grandparents are found in the 2003 list, no additional documents will be required.

Voters may also verify the 2003 entries online through the same portal or seek assistance via the toll-free Voter Helpline 1950.

The draft electoral roll will be published on December 9, 2025. Only those voters whose enumeration forms have been received either through BLOs or via the online portal will be included in the draft roll.

Claims and objections to the draft electoral roll will be accepted until January 8, 2026. After disposal of all claims and objections, the final electoral roll will be published on February 7, 2026.
