Faculty and Students Unite to Promote a Drug-Free Lifestyle in Rajnandgaon

In an effort to combat the rising menace of drug addiction and to spread awareness among youth, Government Digvijay College organized a mass pledge ceremony under the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The event was conducted as per government directives, with the core objective of freeing society from substance abuse and encouraging a healthy, responsible lifestyle.
Acting Principal Dr. Anita Mahishwar administered the oath to all faculty members, staff, and students, urging them to abstain from drugs and contribute actively to de-addiction efforts within their communities.

She emphasized that drug abuse is “hollowing out the very roots of our society” and stressed the need not only for awareness but also for a strong support system to help affected individuals reintegrate into the mainstream.
Senior professors Dr. Amita Bakhshi, Dr. Kiran Lata Damle, Dr. Shailendra Singh, and Mr. Deepak Pargania were also present during the programme.
