Under PM Fasal Bima Yojana, Cases Prepared for Immediate Payment of 25% Insurance Compensation After Excess Rainfall Damage

Acting promptly on the applications submitted by farmers of Barnalakla village during the Jan Darshan program regarding crop damage caused by excessive rainfall, Collector Jitendra Yadav directed immediate field inspection and assessment by the Agriculture Department and the insurance company officials.

Following the Collector’s instructions, officers conducted on-site verification of the harvested paddy crops damaged due to heavy rains. Under the provisions of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), a case has been prepared to ensure quick payment of 25% of the insured amount to the affected farmers as an interim relief. The complaint was officially registered through the PMFBY toll-free number 14447.
Those present during the crop loss assessment included Senior Agriculture Development Officer Jeevan Chandravanshi, Rural Agriculture Extension Officer Sunil Sharma, and insurance representatives Chhabi Lal Chandravanshi, Gajendra Kanwar, Mahendra Salame, along with local farmers Chhagan Sahu, Dev Kumar Jhadav, Rajlal Nishad, Moolchand Sonwane, Krishna Yadav, and others.
The Agriculture Department has appealed to all insured farmers — both loan and non-loan holders — to report crop loss within 72 hours of post-harvest damage caused by rain or natural calamity. Complaints may be registered through:

Timely reporting enables the insurance company to conduct the mandatory field survey and ensure that compensation reaches farmers without delay.
