Three-and-a-Half Kilometer Eco-Friendly Path Features Over 10,000 Trees, Statues of Deities, and Recreational Elements for Devotees and Tourists

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated the Maa Bamleshwari Environmental Parikrama Path in Dongargarh on the occasion of Kwar Navratri, describing it as a unique blend of devotion, health, and environmental preservation. The 3.5 km path features over 10,000 fruit-bearing, shade-providing, and diverse tree species, along with symbolic statues of various deities from across Chhattisgarh. The route also includes illustrations of wild animals such as lions and deer for children’s engagement, making it a hub of faith, wellness, and cultural values.

Dr. Singh noted that the project was conceptualized in 2015 and completed in 2025, emphasizing that the path offers a morning walk space for locals and will attract tourists and devotees nationwide. The path also reflects secular harmony, with spaces for worship of deities revered by all communities.

Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap praised the project as a center for faith, health, and values, highlighting its benefits for visitors of all age groups. The inauguration was attended by district leaders, including District Panchayat Chairperson Kiran Vaishnav, Municipal Council Chairperson Raman Dongre, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, SP Mohit Garg, Forest Divisional Officer Ayush Jain, and trustees of the Maa Bamleshwari Temple.
