The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board showcased the state's tourism potential at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) 2026 in Kolkata through a dedicated pavilion, business meetings and industry interactions. The participation aimed to promote Chhattisgarh's natural, cultural and religious destinations while encouraging tourism investment and increasing visitor footfall.
Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has hailed Bastar as India's next iconic tourism destination, stating, "If you haven't seen Bastar, you haven't seen India." Highlighting the region's breathtaking natural beauty, rich tribal heritage, and remarkable transformation from a conflict-affected area to a thriving tourism hub, he said Bastar is poised to become one of the country's most sought-after travel destinations under the Centre's vision of developing 50 new iconic tourist sites.
