Rajnandgaon Mayor Madhusudan Yadav and Municipal Commissioner G.R. Markam conducted a joint inspection of Chikhli Deendayal Nagar following waterlogging caused by continuous rainfall and directed officials to take immediate measures for drainage, cleaning and removal of obstructions.

Rajnandgaon is set to witness a grand two-day celebration of Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh’s 73rd birthday on October 15. The festivities will include social welfare activities, cultural programs, and a spectacular “Kailash Kher Night” organized by Bhavesh Baid and the Youth Welfare Foundation. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, cabinet ministers, and senior BJP leaders will attend the events, making it a memorable confluence of music, devotion, and community spirit.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated the Maa Bamleshwari Environmental Parikrama Path in Dongargarh, featuring over 10,000 trees, deity statues, and wildlife illustrations. The 3.5 km eco-friendly route promotes devotion, health, environmental protection, and cultural values for locals and tourists.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) North Mandal organised a tree plantation drive at Atal Complex, Vardhman Nagar, under the campaign “A Tree in Mother’s Name” as part of Seva Pakhwada. Senior leaders, public representatives, and citizens participated enthusiastically, pledging commitment to environmental protection and community service in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for service-driven initiatives.

BJP South Mandal office bearers in Rajnandgaon are actively participating in Seva Pakhwada, organizing activities like cleanliness drives, health camps, blood donation, and awareness campaigns, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life of service and dedication.

In Rajnandgaon, the emotionally-driven “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign saw the plantation of 38,000 saplings with wide community involvement. Spearheaded by the district administration, the initiative promotes environmental sustainability while paying heartfelt tribute to mothers.

A panchayat cluster meeting in Narayanpur, Rajnandgaon focused on educating children about diarrhea prevention, proper handwashing, the importance of ORS, and tree plantation benefits. Led by Mitanin Didi and local trainers, the initiative aimed to boost awareness on health and environmental conservation, fostering long-term positive habits among the youth.

To honor the 57th Diksha Anniversary of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, a ceremonial plantation of 57 trees was conducted at Tirth Nirvana near Rajnandgaon. With blessings from Jain saints and participation from political and social dignitaries, the event promoted spiritual reverence and ecological awareness through the planting of sacred and medicinal trees.
