Development Projects Worth ₹72 Lakh Launched in Ward 28 and 30 of Rajnandgaon

Mayor Performs Bhoomipujan for Community Halls, Roads, Drains, and Platforms; Infrastructure Works to Begin Soon

Major infrastructure development initiatives worth ₹72 lakh were launched today in Ward No. 28 (Mathpara) and Ward No. 30 (Kanchan Bagh) of Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation. The bhoomipujan ceremonies, led by Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, marked the beginning of several construction projects including community halls, roads, drainage systems, and platforms.

In Ward No. 28, the projects include:

  • Two community halls near Mathpara pond, each costing ₹10 lakh
  • A public platform worth ₹4.5 lakh
  • Road and drainage works in Mathpara worth ₹15 lakh
  • A platform and shed worth ₹3 lakh under the corporator fund

In Ward No. 30, the development plans feature:

  • A community hall near Vishwakarma Mandir worth ₹15 lakh
  • A platform in Shivnath Colony worth ₹1.5 lakh
  • Drainage construction near Shanti Vijay Colony worth ₹3.5 lakh under the Mayor’s fund

Addressing the residents, Mayor Yadav emphasized that the development was made possible due to timely approvals under the Urban Administration and Development Department, based on recommendations by MLA Dr. Raman Singh and MP Santosh Pandey. He assured that these projects would soon be visible on the ground and benefit local residents.

The bhoomipujan events witnessed the participation of several dignitaries, including:

  • Municipal Corporation President Topendra Singh Paras Verma
  • Mayor-in-Council Members Rajendra Ranu Jain and Dileshwar Prasad Sahu
  • Ward Corporators Sharad Amit Kushwaha and Chandrashekhar Lashkare
  • Former corporators and local leaders such as Omkala Kushwaha, Vijay Rai, Sharad Sinha, Gappu Sonkar, Arun Damle, and Vitthal Patel

Local community members in large numbers welcomed the guests with floral bouquets and expressed appreciation for the developmental push in their neighborhoods. Notable attendees in Ward 28 included Dr. Kalyan Sahu, Guddu Hatwar, Vinod Yadav, Umesh Paliwal, Santosh Hatwar, among others. In Ward 30, members of Vishwakarma Mandir CommitteeAlku Yadav (President), Ghanshyam Pitroda (Treasurer), and Rajendra Shroti (Secretary) — took part in the felicitation ceremony.

Assistant Engineer Pinky Khate and other officials also attended the program alongside enthusiastic local residents, marking a significant step toward inclusive urban development in the city.
