Special Pilgrimage Train from Rajnandgaon to Ayodhya for Shri Ram Lalla Darshan to Depart on August 6

665 Pilgrims from 13 Districts of Durg and Bastar Divisions to Travel; CEO Suruchi Singh Reviews Preparations

Under the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Ayodhya Dham Yojana, a special pilgrimage train carrying 665 devotees from 13 districts of Durg and Bastar divisions will depart from Rajnandgaon Railway Station on August 6, 2025, for a sacred visit to Ayodhya to seek the blessings of Shri Ram Lalla. This marks the first time that pilgrims from these regions will be traveling directly from Rajnandgaon for this religious journey.

Suruchi Singh, CEO of the District Panchayat, convened a meeting today at the District Panchayat hall to review the arrangements for the pilgrimage. She instructed officials to ensure that all preparations are completed in a timely manner for the comfort and safety of the pilgrims.

Singh informed that accommodation for pilgrims coming from Bastar division has been arranged at Agresen Bhavan near the old bus stand. She took stock of the facilities including lodging, meals, refreshments, drinking water, sanitation, security, toilets, parking, and traffic management, directing that these arrangements be made with utmost care and respect for the pilgrims’ faith.

Adequate staff deployment has been mandated to assist the pilgrims, along with ensuring cleanliness and hygiene at the Agresen Bhavan complex. The CEO also emphasized finalizing arrangements for travel routes, train operations, medical facilities, and other necessary services to avoid any inconvenience during the pilgrimage.

The meeting was attended by Joint Collector Smt. Sheetal Bansal, Deputy Collector Shri Amey Srivastava, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Smt. Vaishali Mardwar, District Education Officer Shri Pravas Singh Baghel, as well as officials from Tourism, Railways, Food, Police, and other concerned departments.
