In a heartfelt tribute to the brave souls who lost their lives in the tragic Madanwada-Korkotti Naxal attack, a blood donation and health check-up camp was organized at Pandit Kishorilal Shukla Horticulture College in Pendri, Rajnandgaon. The event was held to honor the memory of the late Police Superintendent Vinod Kumar Chaube and 29 courageous jawans who made the ultimate sacrifice on July 12, 2009, while defending the region against Naxalite insurgency.

The camp, a poignant gesture of remembrance, brought together local residents, students, and officials to pay homage to the martyrs through acts of service and compassion. Participants from various walks of life, including college students, faculty, and local volunteers, actively took part in the blood donation drive, showcasing solidarity and a shared commitment to saving lives. The health check-up camp provided free medical screenings, including blood pressure, sugar level tests, and general health assessments, ensuring that attendees received vital health insights. Medical professionals and volunteers worked tirelessly to make the event a success, emphasizing the importance of community health and unity in the face of adversity.

The event also served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty. SP Vinod Kumar Chaube, known for his bravery and dedication, led his team fearlessly during the ambush in Madanwada and Korkotti, an incident that remains etched in the region’s history as one of the most significant Naxal attacks in Chhattisgarh. The judicial probe into the incident, announced in 2019 by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, underscored the valor of SP Chaube, who fought valiantly despite overwhelming odds.
