An ordinary meeting of the Zila Panchayat Rajnandgaon was convened on July 11, 2025, at the Zila Panchayat meeting hall under the leadership of Chairperson Kiran Ravindra Vaishnav. Representatives from various departments, including Forest, Agriculture, PHE, PWD, Education, Revenue, Women and Child Development, and Cooperatives, participated in the deliberations.
One of the major issues raised was the deteriorating condition of roads in several rural areas. Highlighting the delay in infrastructure development, Zila Panchayat Member Anita Mandavi pointed out that the bridge construction on the Bortalav–Dongargarh road has remained halted for five years. In response, Chairperson Vaishnav directed the concerned officials to initiate a fresh tender process for the Bajrangidih–Bagrekasa route and expedite its completion.

Similarly, critical repairs were discussed for other roads including the Makarnpur–Sukuldaehan road, the Kokpur–Tendunala stretch, the Uparwah–Gopalpur road, and the Markakasa–Job route.
Another pressing matter brought to the floor was the condition of school infrastructure. Members noted the dilapidated state of school buildings and non-functional toilets. The Education Department informed the house that construction of additional classrooms for the 2024–25 session is underway. Vaishnav stressed that repair and maintenance of school toilets should be treated as a priority and that proper sanitation and upkeep must be ensured.
Environmental concerns were also tabled, with the issue of the New Bio Company at Fuljhar (Tedsera) raised in the session. Chairperson Vaishnav assured that an inspection will be conducted involving the Water Resources, Environment, and Revenue Departments in the presence of local public representatives.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairperson Kiran Sahu, CEO Suruchi Singh, Sabhapati Jagrati Chunni Yadu, and several other Zila Panchayat members and officials including Biram Ramkumar Mandavi, Kiran Vinod Barle, Devkumari Sahu, Sheela Takesh Sinha, Gopal Singh Bhuarya, Prashant Kodape, Angeshwar Deshmukh, Mahendra Yadav, Vibha Sahu, and Janpad Panchayat Rajnandgaon President Pratima Pappu Chandrakar.
