In a hands-on initiative to ensure the delivery of essential civic services, Rajnandgaon Mayor Madhusudan Yadav visited several neighborhoods early Monday morning to inspect water supply and cleanliness. He toured Ward Nos. 7 and 8, covering Motipur, Ramnagar, and Khandelwal Colony, and interacted directly with residents about their daily utility concerns.

During the visit, several women residents raised concerns regarding low water pressure in some areas and requested more regular sanitation services. Mayor Yadav addressed their concerns, explaining that a drop in river water levels combined with recent thunderstorms had affected electricity supply to water tanks, temporarily disrupting water distribution. He assured the public that corrective measures were underway.
Upon noticing defunct borewells, the Mayor instructed that they be repaired immediately and committed to installing Sintex water tanks in areas facing drinking water shortages. Additionally, he directed officials to improve drainage by cleaning and leveling the stormwater drains.
Later, Mayor Yadav conducted an inspection of key public gardens including R.K. Nagar Garden, Pushpavatika, and Nehru Udyan to promote urban green spaces. Speaking to the maintenance staff at R.K. Nagar Garden, he emphasized the importance of regular upkeep and watering, especially during the summer months.

During his visit to Pushpavatika and Nehru Udyan, the Mayor observed that due to their age, the parks required repairs. He stated that necessary renovations would be carried out after discussions with officials and also stressed the need for functional play equipment and other basic amenities to enhance recreational facilities for citizens.
The Mayor’s continued field visits reflect the city administration’s focus on responsive and transparent governance aimed at improving living standards in urban localities.
