Thar Used to Block Road; DI Yodha Vehicle, Two Mobile Phones and ₹3,200 Cash Recovered in Full

Police have cracked a robbery case in the Ghumka police station area within 24 hours, arresting four accused in connection with an incident in which a DI Yodha vehicle, two mobile phones and ₹3,200 in cash were allegedly looted after the road was blocked using a Thar vehicle.
The four arrested accused have been identified as Anmol Chandel, Khileshwar Sahu alias Badal Sahu, J. Gautam Rao and Laxman Shivprasad Sonboir.
Police said the looted DI Yodha vehicle, two mobile phones and ₹3,200 cash, collectively valued at ₹4,08,200, were recovered in full from the accused.
The Mahindra Thar, valued at approximately ₹12 lakh, allegedly used in the commission of the robbery was also seized.
CCTV Footage, Informer Network Help Police Trace Accused
According to police, clues obtained from CCTV footage and the informer network helped investigators trace the accused.
Police said that during interrogation, the accused admitted to their involvement in the robbery.

All four accused were arrested on the night of September 10 and produced before the court on September 11, from where they were sent to judicial remand.
Case Registered Under BNS
A case has been registered at Ghumka Police Station under Crime No. 112/2026, under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The action was carried out by a joint team of Ghumka Police Station and the Cyber Cell under the direction of Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma.
