‘Maa’r Duaar, Saay Sarkar’ Campaign Launched Alongside Sensitive Redressal of Public Grievances During Su-Shasan Tihar in Mohla District

In a concerted move to promote citizen welfare and responsive governance, the Mohla district administration has kicked off the ‘Maa’r Duaar, Saay Sarkar’ (Government at Your Doorstep) campaign alongside Su-Shasan Tihar, a fortnight-long drive focused on resolving public grievances with empathy and accountability.

The campaign’s core highlight is a special housing survey being conducted in three phases between April 15 and April 30, 2025, aimed at identifying and including eligible yet left-out families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), particularly those missing from the permanent waiting list or the Awaas Plus database.

The initiative was ceremoniously flagged off by local MPs, MLAs, and Panchayat leaders through symbolic surveys. In the second phase, village-level nodal officers and enumerators are conducting house-to-house verification, with findings being transparently shared in Gram Sabha meetings. The final phase will see verification reports submitted to the district headquarters on April 29–30 for certification.

At a high-level review meeting, Collector Tulika Prajapati directed all departments to ensure prioritized, high-quality redressal of grievances related to pensions, ration cards, water supply, and housing schemes. She stressed that no application should be rejected without proper review, and reasons for ineligibility must be clearly communicated to applicants.

The Collector also instructed that applications should not be unnecessarily transferred across departments multiple times, promoting efficiency and accountability in grievance handling. Notably, outstanding contributors—officers, staff, or citizens—will be recognized and felicitated during the campaign.

Citizens are encouraged to share campaign activities on social media, boosting public participation and awareness. The initiative is being driven through the centrally launched Awaas Plus 2.0 app, ensuring mission-mode implementation and transparency.

The meeting was attended by District Panchayat CEO Bharti Chandrakar, Additional Collector Vijendra Singh Patle, and heads of all concerned departments.
