Former Member of Parliament Abhishek Singh on Wednesday visited the residence of BJP Councillor and Chairman of the Janbhagidari Committee of Government Shivnath Science College, Ravi Sinha, to express his condolences on the demise of his father, Late Ramratan Sinha.

During the visit, Abhishek Singh paid floral tributes before the portrait of the late Ramratan Sinha and offered his heartfelt respects. He met with the bereaved family and prayed for them to find the strength to endure their loss.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhishek Singh said that Late Ramratan Sinha was known for his simple, gentle, and disciplined personality. He said his life would continue to serve as an inspiration to society and that his affection and values would remain alive through the lasting memories cherished by his family and the community.

BJP Councillor Ravi Sinha and his family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the former MP for his personal visit and words of comfort during this difficult time.

Family members and those present also paid their respects to Late Ramratan Sinha, remembering his life with reverence and offering prayers for the peace of his soul and strength for the grieving family.

The Rajnandgaon district administration has cancelled a 43-year-old lease of 22.90 acres of prime government land in Nandai village, estimated to be worth more than ₹100 crore. The land was originally allotted for the free treatment and rehabilitation of leprosy patients. Following an administrative inquiry, the lease was cancelled over alleged violations of lease conditions, unauthorised transfer of possession and commercial use of the property. Collector Jitendra Yadav has directed the Tehsildar to take physical possession of the entire land within seven days. The administration has also instructed health officials to ensure uninterrupted treatment and proper arrangements for any patients currently residing there.
