As part of the “Laya Shala” segment focusing on the Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition, Dr. Sinha delivered a scholarly lecture on the Indian knowledge system and the spiritual and cultural bond between guru and disciple. He elaborated on how artistic traditions are preserved and transmitted through discipline, devotion, and sustained practice, ensuring continuity between tradition and modernity.

Drawing from the lineage of his gurus — court artist Prof. Kalyan Das Mahant of the Raigarh Darbar and the legendary Kathak maestro Birju Maharaj — Dr. Sinha highlighted the distinctive features of the Lucknow and Raigarh gharanas.

A special highlight of the presentation was a unique grandfather-granddaughter Kathak demonstration, where his granddaughter, Kumari Prasiddhi Sinha, showcased the practical nuances of the dance form. The presentation was widely appreciated by scholars and art enthusiasts present at the festival. Through his “Triveni” initiative, Dr. Sinha continues to represent the third generation of his family in Kathak, performing alongside his son Tushar and granddaughter, thereby strengthening Chhattisgarh’s cultural identity on prestigious national platforms.
