The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit observed the death anniversary of its ideological guide and proponent of Integral Humanism, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, as ‘Samarpan Diwas’ at the BJP District Office in Rajnandgaon. Party office-bearers and workers paid floral tributes to his portrait and reaffirmed their commitment to imbibing his ideals in public life.
Senior BJP leader and mentor Mr. Khoobchand Parakh, who attended the programme as the chief speaker, said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was not merely a politician but a visionary thinker, philosopher and “Rashtra Rishi” who connected Indian politics with Indian culture and civilisational values.

In his detailed address, Mr. Parakh explained that the philosophy of Integral Humanism (Ekatma Manav Darshan) is based on a harmonious balance between the individual, society and nature, and remains highly relevant in contemporary times. He described Upadhyaya’s life as a symbol of simplicity, sacrifice, service and patriotism, noting that he never sought power or position but always placed the organisation and national interest above all.
He further emphasised that for party workers today, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s life serves as a source of inspiration, demonstrating that ideology-based politics is essential for strengthening the nation.
Highlighting the concept of Antyodaya, Mr. Parakh stated that true service lies in ensuring development reaches the person standing at the last row of society. He remarked that welfare schemes being implemented by the central and state governments for the poor, farmers, youth and women reflect the practical manifestation of Pandit Upadhyaya’s vision. He called upon party workers to take his ideas to every household and work among society with a spirit of dedication.
BJP District President Mr. Komal Singh Rajput also addressed the gathering and said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s life is exemplary for all. He urged party workers to strengthen the organisation by incorporating his principles into their conduct and to reaffirm their dedication on the occasion of Samarpan Diwas.
