Training on Cow-Based Natural Farming Concludes in Rajnandgaon

Five-day programme highlights Panchgavya-based practices, soil health improvement and sustainable, chemical-free agriculture

A five-day training programme on Cow-Based Natural Farming was successfully conducted by Maharshi Vagbhatt Cow Conservation and Research Institute, Rajnandgaon district, from January 31 to February 4, 2026. The programme was organised at the Panchgavya Vidyapeetham Extension Centre located at Mahamaya Chowk, Basantpur.

During the training, participants were informed about the benefits of cow-based natural farming, along with the harmful impacts of chemical agriculture on soil, water, environment and human health. Trainer Tanish Sahu explained the core principles of natural farming and demonstrated how low-cost, profitable cultivation can be achieved using Panchgavya products derived from indigenous cows along with locally available plants and resources.

The sessions covered preparation techniques of Jeevamrit, Ghan Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, Dashparni Ark and other Panchgavya-based bio-inputs. Farmers were also trained in crop nutrition management, pest and disease control, and methods to improve soil health. An interactive session was held to address participants’ queries and practical challenges related to natural farming.

The programme aimed to promote sustainable agriculture practices while encouraging farmers to adopt eco-friendly, chemical-free farming systems for long-term productivity and environmental protection.
