On January 26, they participated in the Republic Day celebrations as guest volunteers alongside NDMA.
In addition, a formal interaction was organised for Disaster Mitra volunteers with the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi, providing them a platform to share field-level experiences and insights on disaster management.
The recognition underscores Rajnandgaon’s growing contribution to India’s disaster preparedness framework and highlights the vital role played by trained community volunteers in strengthening resilience at the grassroots level.
