The fourth day of the Rajnandgaon Swadeshi Mela witnessed a massive public turnout, adding vibrant energy to the fairgrounds as citizens gathered in large numbers to support indigenous products and cultural programmes.

Addressing the gathering, State Patron of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr Khoobchand Parakh, said that the core objective of the Swadeshi movement is to make India self-reliant and reduce dependence on foreign goods. He emphasised that purchasing indigenous products not only strengthens the national economy but also awakens a sense of patriotism among citizens.

Mr Parakh credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past 11 years for significantly strengthening India’s Swadeshi ecosystem. He highlighted that India has now emerged as an exporter of defence equipment, including missiles, marking a major milestone in the country’s journey towards self-reliance.

Referring to recent tariff-related developments, he remarked that global powers are now reconsidering trade policies, reflecting the growing strength of India’s indigenous economy.
