Focus on waste segregation, sanitation facilities and cleanliness in Rewadih ward

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Atul Vishwakarma on Thursday conducted an early morning inspection of cleanliness arrangements in Rewadih ward and reviewed operations at the SLRM (Solid Liquid Resource Management) Centre. During the visit, he closely observed the waste segregation system and the compost-making process, directing officials to speed up compost production using wet waste.
The Commissioner instructed the centre in-charge to ensure daily segregation of wet and dry waste and to strictly follow the prescribed schedule for turning compost pits to achieve timely results. He emphasised that no laxity should be shown in compost preparation and that all procedures must be carried out within the stipulated time frame.

Mr. Vishwakarma also inspected the Sulabh public toilet in Rewadih and directed staff to maintain daily cleanliness and ensure uninterrupted water supply for smooth operation. Reviewing overall sanitation, he instructed the sanitation inspector to pay special attention to the ward’s rural nature and ensure regular cleaning of lanes and drains. He interacted with sanitation workers on-site and directed complete cleaning of drains without leaving any section unattended.
The Commissioner further inspected the local playground, instructing officials to maintain cleanliness in the area. He also reviewed municipal-owned shops and directed shopkeepers to keep the surroundings clean and use dustbins regularly. Stressing the importance of hygiene, he said there should be zero tolerance for negligence in cleanliness works.
