Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rajnandgaon Zila Panchayat Durga Prasad Adhikari conducted an extensive inspection of Maharajpur, Khobha, and Keshotola Gram Panchayats under Chhuriya Janpad Panchayat on Saturday.
During the visit, he reviewed the progress of various government schemes and development works and directed officials to ensure their quality-based, transparent, and time-bound implementation.
Inspects School, Anganwadi Centre and PMAY Houses
At Maharajpur Gram Panchayat, CEO Adhikari inspected the Government Middle School, Anganwadi Centre, and houses completed and under construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

He interacted with beneficiaries and gathered information about the benefits they had received under various government welfare schemes.
At the Anganwadi Centre, he reviewed children’s attendance, the distribution of supplementary nutrition, and other facilities. He also inspected the mid-day meal arrangements at the middle school and reviewed the prayer shed constructed on the school premises.
Reviews PMAY Construction and Recharge Shaft at Khobha
At Khobha Gram Panchayat, the CEO inspected completed and ongoing PMAY houses in Awas Para and reviewed the construction of a recharge shaft.
He also visited a shop operated by a women’s Self-Help Group (SHG), interacted with its members, and enquired about their income and livelihood activities. He appreciated the efforts of the women in strengthening their economic activities.

A Surya Sabha was also organised in the presence of the Sarpanch, Panchayat members, and a large number of villagers.
Villagers Encouraged to Adopt Rooftop Solar
During the Surya Sabha, CEO Adhikari explained the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and encouraged villagers to install rooftop solar power systems.
He said the scheme would help reduce electricity expenses while promoting clean and renewable energy.
Inspects Innovative Awas Vatika at Keshotola
At Keshotola Gram Panchayat, the CEO inspected the Awas Vatika being developed through innovation and community participation.

He issued necessary directions for its further development and improvement.
He also visited the C-Mart operating on the Janpad Panchayat premises and encouraged women’s Self-Help Groups by purchasing products made by them.
CEO Adhikari said that promoting the economic activities of women’s groups would play an important role in strengthening rural livelihoods and improving household incomes.
The inspection was attended by Chhuriya Janpad Panchayat CEO Horilal Sahu, SDO (RES) G.P. Laria, elected representatives, government officials, employees, and a large number of villagers.
