A youth dialogue programme on the theme ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ was organised at Government Shivnath Science College in Rajnandgaon. District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman Sachin Singh Baghel attended the programme as the chief speaker. Ravi Sinha, Chairman of the Janbhagidari Committee, presided over the event, while the college Principal, Nirmala Umre, also shared her views.
Responsible Youth and Aware Citizens Key to Democracy
Addressing the gathering, chief speaker Sachin Singh Baghel said that the strength of democracy depends on aware citizens and responsible youth.
He said that everyone has the right to disagree and protest in a democracy, but such actions must remain within constitutional limits. He urged young people to understand the country’s democratic system, the Constitution, and their rights and duties.

Respect for Public Mandate and Constitutional Institutions
In his presidential address, Ravi Sinha said that India is the world’s largest democracy, and its strength lies in respecting the people’s mandate and constitutional institutions.
He observed that the tendency to create disorder and anarchy in the name of protest is not appropriate for a democratic system, particularly in the prevailing political circumstances.
Sinha said that opposing the government is a democratic right of the Opposition, but disrupting public order and disrespecting the people’s mandate in the name of protest cannot be accepted. He emphasised that governments are formed through people’s votes, not through pressure exerted by crowds.
Youth Urged to Verify Information and Uphold Democratic Values
Sinha called upon young people to understand political developments through facts and reason. He advised students to remain cautious of misleading information circulating on social media and to give priority to national interests and democratic values.
“Disagreement is the beauty of democracy, but anarchy is its weakness,” he said.
