Health Workers and Nikshay Mitras Honored for Outstanding Contributions to TB Eradication

A special event was organized at the District Panchayat Hall to mark World Tuberculosis (TB) Day. The program focused on raising awareness about TB eradication, honoring healthcare workers, and distributing nutritional aid to TB patients.

The event was graced by several prominent officials, including:

Collector Sanjay Agrawal highlighted the 100-day Nikshay Niramay Testing and Treatment Campaign, urging citizens to actively participate in TB elimination efforts.

Dr. Netram Navratan provided an in-depth overview of TB testing, treatment, and prevention strategies, urging people to support the mission of a TB-free Rajnandgaon.

The attendees took a pledge to contribute to TB eradication, reinforcing the commitment to a healthier society.

Honoring Health Workers and Nikshay Mitras

To recognize exceptional contributions, several healthcare workers and Nikshay Mitras were awarded certificates of appreciation. These individuals played a crucial role in TB prevention and treatment.

Nutritional Aid Distribution

As part of the initiative, 53 TB patients received nutritional support from various contributors:

  • Baliram & Sons – 5 patients
  • Kamal Solvent Pvt. Ltd. – 5 patients
  • Drug Vendors Association, Rajnandgaon – 25 patients
  • Paramedical Association, Rajnandgaon – 13 patients
  • Santosh Binwar – 5 patients

Awareness Rally by Nursing Students

To further spread awareness, nursing students conducted a rally through key city routes, advocating for TB eradication and early diagnosis.

Inaugural CY-TB Testing Initiative

The World TB Day event also marked the launch of a special CY-TB testing drive, with eight healthcare workers undergoing testing at the Chief Medical & Health Officer’s office.
